More than 500 volunteers are an integral aspect of Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede activities. Volunteers spend tremendous time and energy promoting the Stampede and the city of Medicine Hat and are the foundation of volunteerism at other large special events.

Established in 1887, the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede Company has grown to 84 directors with an operating budget of over $2 million. Our mission is to promote and develop urban-rural ties in South Eastern Alberta by promoting a unique brand of community events and services while recognizing our western heritage.
